Traditionally, there were two company/office models in WA’s real estate market – franchised offices, and privately owned companies like ours. However, everything changed when the new “super office” model came to W.A. This was a model based around agents working from home. There were no offices for the agents to work from – simply, there would be one “office” licensed in a location of Perth (for legal reasons) and this is where all listings would be recorded. The playing field had never been more uneven, so it was time for Peard Group to revisit their model. While their model served PeardONE well for 20 years, it was clear the market had changed, and they really only had one option, which was to change with it, or risk the fate that many bricks and mortar offices were facing, being eventual closure. This is where PeardOne was born- an initiative to bring Peard Group back to the top.
There were multiple successful outcomes they were hoping for with PeardONE. Their first was to be take back their Top Office title in 2018/2019, putting their brand front of mind and in turn, generating more business. In 2019, at the annual REIWA Awards for Excellence Peard Group won both major sales categories; number of listings sold, and value sold. Peard Group then launched a massive 2 part marketing campaign; One, aimed at obtaining more listings and the second, recruiting agents to WA’s #1 office. As a result of this campaign, Peard Group’s listings increased by 23% in the following quarter, while meant they were also able to secure several high profile agents.
