Australian Restoration & Construction (ARC) is a medium sized construction company specializing in insurance building repairs. ARC embraces its roots as a family business, servicing the needs of the insurance industry, public and private sector along Australia’s East Coast with honesty and integrity. Rapid growth, meeting the needs of a booming sector, meant ARC turned over $1 million in its first year of operation in 2014. Since then, the industry’s appreciation of ARC’s core values and dedication has reflected in substantial growth in the business, with revenue now exceeding $15 million.
Australian Restoration and Construction holds a flat structure, based around two directors; Jordan Powell (Managing Director), and Ben McArthur (Operations Director). Employees hold a vested interest in the company with profit share incentivizing all to deliver high quality work, and transparency promoted across the board. Company financial information is shared, with performance celebrated by all team members.
ARC’s roots as a family business hold true, with all team members welcoming a family-like culture within the business. ARC boasts a 90% staff retention rate, and a high sub-contractor retention rate due to our strong relationships. Regular social events keep the team happy and united, allowing celebrations of successes and opportunities to debrief experiences. Interstate team members and their families are flown to ARC’s head office in the Gold Coast for end and mid-year celebrations.
Since its inception in 2014, ARC has grown to 40 full-time employees and engages with more than 800 sub-contractors across the East Coast. ARC is able to complete both residential and commercial projects, holding an open builders license in all States of operation. Face to face contact and client engagement is ARC’s specialty, and the company ensures client follow-up within 24-hours, with regular status reports for all parties. Consistency is important to ARC; whether a backyard deck or a million-dollar high-rise, all clients are highly valued at ARC, and the business strives to deliver to the best possible standards at all times.

Organisational eligibility includes private companies, publicly listed companies, multinational subsidiaries, not-for-profit organisations, non-government organisations, educational institutions, franchise systems, partnerships, government departments, government agencies, local government and statutory bodies operating in Australia.
Organisations are required to complete a submission for a specific business initiative, product or service.
Business initiatives can include but are not limited to projects, programs, processes, systems, technologies, developments, ventures and undertakings.
Products can include but are not limited to services, devices, equipment, programs, processes, activities, applications, information, knowledge, software, cloud-based services, platforms, systems and manufactured goods. Products must be commercially available on the Australian market and comply with all applicable Australian standards and regulatory requirements. Product eligibility includes domestic and international products available to the Australian marketplace.
The World Business Awards Framework (WBA Framework) is utilised as a structured model of assessment that enables the participating organisations to be benchmarked against world class performance standards.
The Framework consists of specialised assessment modules pertaining to the evaluation criteria for each of the award categories. The criteria and sub-criteria provide a robust set of requirements that are used as the methodology for benchmarking and learning among the participating organisations.
Organisations that demonstrate the core values of business innovation, product innovation, technological achievement and employee engagement are recognised via a set of established business and product award categories.
